MEET MISS ANGELA...

 

Angela is a National Certified Counselor and pre-licensed professional counselor. She works with children, teens, college-age adults, and families to facilitate healing and growth through the power of play therapy. 

Angela’s clinical experience includes work with clients with trauma, externalizing and internalizing behaviors, and neurodevelopmental differences, and other learning disabilities, as well as parenting consultation in private practice, agencies, and clinical mental health clinics. Angela holds an advanced certificate in Child and Adolescent Counseling with an emphasis in Play Therapy. 

She received her bachelor of science from Southern Adventist University and obtained her master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Richmont Graduate University.


Angela is a member of the National Association for Play Therapy, The Georgia Association for Play Therapy, the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, the American Counseling Association, Licensed Professional Counselors Association of Georgia, and the National Board of Certified Counselors. She is a pre-licensed professional working towards dual  licensure as a marriage and family therapist and professional counselor as well as a Registered Play Therapist under the clinical supervision of Trudy Post Sprunk and clinical direction of Renee Holdo.

Angela's areas of competency include anxiety, depression, grief/loss, trauma, adjustment issues, attachment concerns, separation anxiety, low self-esteem, anger, behavioral issues, divorce adjustment, adoption, foster care, neurodevelopmental disorders (such as ADHD, processing disorders, etc.), and a multitude of child-related concerns/issues.

When Angela is not "playing" at Happy Camper, she loves to play board games, rock climb, snuggle with her dog, and read a good book.
